BUSINESSWOMAN Judy Wynne has been named one of Britain’s most inspirational business women less than four years after setting up on her own.

Judy is hoping to win a share of the Pounds 50,000 prize package in the 2010 Barclays Trading Places Awards, which recognises people who have beaten the odds to succeed.

Judy, from Thornton, set up Infection Protection.Org (IPO), a website which offers advice on the steps the public can take to protect themselves, and sells products.

Judy was a nursing home manageress before re-training in remedial massage therapy. However, medical problems forced her to give up her full time practice. She came up with the idea for the website while in hospital.

Steve Cooper, chair of the judging panel and managing director of Barclays Business, said: “We hope Judy’s story will inspire others.”

Barclays will give the winner a cheque for Pounds 10,000, and the runnerup with Pounds 5,000, at a dinner at The Savoy, London, on November 30.
